Did you know?

Feelin' Hot Hot Hot!

Happy July to everyone! Is anyone else dying in this insanely hot weather?? I must say, I was seriously considering booking a flight to Alaska a couple weeks ago to escape the heat, but I’m glad to say I refrained and decided to stick around. Now you ask, why am I glad that I stuck around in this sweltering oven? Well firstly, my bank account didn’t approve of the trip, but secondly and most importantly, for GreenerTogether.ca’s July update!

Next week, there’s going to be a whole bunch of new material up on the site about peak demand and what you can do to reduce your energy use so that we can avoid blackouts during peak time and cut down on our electrical carbon emissions! There are also some tips on how to stay cool without using your air conditioner. And believe me... They work! If they didn’t, I might have been hanging out with some penguins near the South Pole by now with one monster-sized credit card bill!

Our building visits are going amazingly as well!  Shout outs to our friends at 44 William Street West in Oshawa; 120 Acorn Place in Mississauga; and 778 Walter Street, 143 Concession Street, 70 Mulberry Drive, 339 Bishop Street and 168 Grand Avenue in Cambridge! You all should have received your Resident Education Kits but if not, check with your Property Manager as they have extras. Should you be reading this: thanks so much for checking out GreenerTogether.ca and remember to check back next week for our July update!
